I’m a storyteller and often use the sounds and sights of my childhood to write.
Sometimes it’s acoustic, sometimes it’s electric, but it always favors lyrics. I love the lyrics. I think they’re the most important part of a song because:
"Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." Matt 12:34-40.
I’m a huge sucker for nostalgia, simpler times and sweet memories. Tree forts and pen pals.
A frantic game of tag. Yellow maple leaves belly up on the surface of a puddle. This is a place to slow down, escape and enjoy a place that’s like a good memory you forgot you had.
Oh…and I’ve got a welcome gift for you. Welcome to the neighborhood.
